Spring Newsletter 2013

by Sleighbells on February 21, 2013

Greetings from the Farm:

We would like thank all our loyal customers for a wonderful 2012 holiday season.  We have been busy getting ready for the coming season.  This season we will celebrate 30 years in the Christmas Tree and Gift business.  By late summer we should have put the finishing touches on a variety of changes to the shop.  Please visit often to check out what’s new.  Now, stay tuned for the news………..

ST. PAT’S DAY The leprechauns directed by Elise have placed our Irish offerings front and center.  This is just the best holiday to create fun celebrations around.  Everyone can be Irish on March 17th, take advantage of that offer. The Irish Belleek china we sell is a product that defines a classic look.  You don’t have to have a china cupboard full of Belleek to enjoy this line.  Add a tea cup & saucer, a candy dish, or a small bud vase and use them through the year to regularly appreciate the unique quality of this product line.  This year we are kicking off our celebrations of our 30th Anniversary with a Hugh CLEARANCE SALE on March 15, 16, and 17th.  See details of this sale later in this newsletter and in a second missive in early March.

EASTER Led by Marji, the staff has created some beautiful displays for Spring and Easter (Sunday, March 31st).  New items from Bethany Lowe have captured a nostalgic look that will bring a smile to your face while in the store and at home when you take some with you.  Her Easter Bunny house is a giant blue egg and is a stunning piece that will be the center of attention in your decor.  Yankee and Root candles offer some great spring colors that will chase away your winter blues.  Our Spring fudge flavors will make your mouth water.  Our 5 foot bunny couple will get your attention as soon as you walk in the door.

Our poultry is un-caged till after Easter.  The peacocks are putting on their Spring show every day.  They will give you plenty of photo ops when you visit.  For those of you a little skid dish around birds, don’t worry they will not attack you, but if you feed them they will probably follow you around.  Our turkey and the chickens can ham it up some days just as much as the peacocks.

30th ANNIVERSARY. Is it hard to believe we have been around that long? Tom & Betty McCready were here for the first 18 years and Ken & Darleen McCoy have been here for the last 12 years.   We plan to celebrate with a special event  at least every other month.  The staff has all kinds of ideas.  The first event, the brainchild of Margaret & Mary M., will be a great CLEARANCE SALE on March 15, 16, and 17th.   Our associates have been cleaning out the stockrooms, closets, and attics  to identify products that have reached maturity and need to leave home.  To that end select items will be discounted – guess how much???  30% off the relative new comers;  middle age items will be double discounted at 60% off;  and a few senior items will be triple discounted at 90% off.  See what 30 years will get ya!  Cool discounts.  Items will be clearly marked around the store.  A comprehensive list be sent out in our next newsletter.
TRUNK SHOW For the first time in 13 years we will be having a TRUNK show on Saturday March 16th from 10am to 3pm.  We will feature the new line of WOOF & POOF products. Orders can be placed from the samples and the product picked up later in the year once they are shipped.  This will give you the opportunity to see samples of  the whole line.  WOOF & POOF is predominately a plush line, many are musical  and all are made in the U.S.A.
FOOD.  We will be doing special demonstrations of the foods we sell.  Come out  for the abelskievers and Irish Cream flavored home made donuts.  Dollar hot dogs and  beverages will also be available.
More details will follow in our next newsletter as we continue to pull this event together, but make sure to mark your calendar, March 15, 16 & 17 so you don’t miss it.

We have numerous new items since the holidays on display.  The Oregon State and University of Oregon trees have been completely restocked with new and older products.  The new 2013  Department 56 Snowbunnies and collectible  Spring animals are here.  There are new things arriving weekly.   We still have some after Christmas stock left, like calendars at 75% off.  Be sure to check out our Clearance area.   Thanks again for your support and remember:  visit soon – visit often.
